Make these cute little pumpkins for this spooky season! I’ve turned mine into bunting and key chains!
Each pumpkin takes 30 minutes to make so this is the perfect little decoration for your home this Halloween!
The pattern can be easily adjusted by adding or removing chains from your starting chain. By making a long chain you will make a taller pumpkin. You can then work additional rows to add to the circumference.
You can use different weight yarn but it will change the size of the pumpkin.
This pattern is available as an ad-free PDF on my Etsy shop.

Instructions
Row 1 – with orange yarn and a 5mm hook, make a magic circle (step by step guide on my website). Ch11. Working in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc in each ch across until the last ch. Insert your hook into the last ch, yarn over, insert hook into magic circle, yarn over. Sl st through both. Ch1, turn
Row 2 – sl st into the first stitch, blsc in each stitch across. Ch1, turn
Row 3 – back loop sc across to the last stitch. Insert hook into the last stitch, yarn over, insert hook into magic circle, yarn over. Slip stitch through both. Ch1, turn
Row 4 – slip stitch into first stitch, back loop sc across. Ch1, turn
Row 5 – Row 19 – Repeat row 3 and 4.
Joining the pumpkin
To finish, turn your work so that the wrong sides are facing outwards. Starting in the first ch from row 1, insert your hook into the first chain and the back loop of the sc from the previous row. Slip stitch through both. Continue to the end of the row. Finish off leaving a long tail for sewing. Turn work the right way around and pull the magic circle closed.
Stuff your pumpkin and sew around the top as shown in the photo below. Pull tight to close.
You will now sew through the centre of the pumpkin to get the dimple in the top.
Stalk
With green yarn and 5mm hook, ch11. Starting in the 2nd ch from the hook, make 2 sc in each ch across. Fasten off leaving a long tail for attaching the stalk to the pumpkin.
Make as many pumpkins as you’d like for your bunting. Thread the string through the top and hang wherever you like!
